Hi there! I am Ashleigh Wells and I’m a photographer by day, superhero by night.
My passion is creating custom portraits of your pets to cherish for a lifetime. I work hard to ensure your experience is perfect from start to finish from the first phone call to your personal reveal session. I pride myself in providing families with tangible, printed products to ensure the fine art we create together doesn’t end up lost on a USB in a drawer forever. We all like to think we will print off those photos “one day,” but even I know all too well that before we know it years have gone by and nothing has been printed. For that reason, I enjoy providing a full service experience where you walk away with both printed and digital products that are perfectly curated for your family, home and lifestyle.
I live in Port Moody with my husband and our 2 amazing daughters, Ella and Lennon. We also have an awesome English Bulldog Penny, 4 guinea pigs named Oprah, Gayle, Poppy and Snowflake, and a fish named Ed Sheeran (these things happen when you let an 8 year old name some pets haha!). I love watching Coronation St., yoga, and I like piña coladas. (And gettin’ caught in the rain.)
I have been photographing pets and families for the last 9 years since starting my first business in 2008 (Ashleigh Wells Photography) and am excited to expand, adding a pet photography specific brand with Sit Stay Studio. I am an internationally award-winning photographer. I have my Master Photographer and Certified Professional Photographer designations and have also been nationally accredited in Canine and Animal Portraiture.
I work from my home studio, as well as on location with pets. I have over 19 years experience working with animals starting as a volunteer at the SPCA and later working part time at a veterinarian’s office and a pet supply store while finishing my university degree. Due to these years of experience I am confident in my ability to work with your pets in a safe, comfortable, professional and FUN environment. As a pet owner, I know the special place in our hearts these little fur babies hold and the importance of capturing who they are while they are with us. Their time with us always seems too short and I hope to capture the unique personalities these little furry loves hold so that the images I take of them can be treasured forever by their families.
